A Care-full Haiku

A Care-full Haiku

How does one show care?
Remembering little things,
Not expecting praise.

The hardest part is:
Explaining that you are hurt,
To those that hurt you.

The Dawn of Hebe

The Dawn of Hebe

I am ready, Geras, grow me up.
This fight was good, but I tire of longing for him to see the dawn of Hebe in my eyes.

With courage I take on this new found fame, but will recall in constant the days when my lips were sweet with cups of nectar.
When my skin was fragrant from baths of ambrosia.
When love and passion were waisted on a fickle youth.
A time so young, I could have called him mine.

I am ready, Geras, grow me up.
For I have put my love and youth into the wrong heart.
And today I rejoice in finally seeing the dawn of Hebe in my own eyes.

Chess

Chess

I think it’s your move…

Do we remember happy?
or was it disappointment?

The things in my head are as clear as the muddy words falling from your deceitful lips.

And old scars are used to excuse the infliction of fresh wounds.

I came for a partner, not an opponent.

Stalemate…
You win.

The Sweet Psalm of the Subjected

The Sweet Psalm of the Subjected

Oh them youthful infatuations.
Keepin’ our heads all clouded,
And our actions sedate.
Feelin’ nothin’ but that sweet sweet oppression
drippin’ slowly into our mouths
Just like tupelo honey.

But if there be two persons
There’ll always be three versions
And that third friend’ll be called Truth.

Cause the mirror be reflectin’
Only what this mind wanna see,
And that ain’t no “Fun House” mirror,
Just pretty pink lies,
made up by some age-weary mind.
So we might hold on longer to them youthful infatuations.

But oh! How bout them youthful infatuations?
Them kept our heads clouded
And our actions sedate.
Cause back them we cared about nothin’,
Nothin’ but that sweet sweet oppression
Drippin’ slowly into our mouths
Just like tupelo honey.

Haiku of Luminous Love

Have you ever loved?
I have. My heart burst with stars.
Stars are forever.

Child of The Land of Nod

Child of The Land of Nod

Mother Tribe, take me in.
For I am a child of the Land of Nod.
Abandoned like an orphan,
I have been banished to wander at the price of another’s sin.
Praying for someone, something to wash this blood from my hands.

Mother Tribe, take me in.
For this wandering has been long,
And I yearn for a place to rest my weary head.
A place to let go of old myths and begin anew.

But Mother Tribe does not understand.
All she see are her children.
Her once lost, but newly found children,
Covered in the sin of another

“Come my Littles,”
She does say,
“Come and I will do, as a good mother does,
And wash and scrub this burden from your soul.
For children were not made to wear the sins of their maker.”

Mother Tribe, take me in.
Where I once was a child of the Land of Nod.
You graced me pure of the burdens of my creator.
Just as a good mother does.

The Forget Not Girl

The Forget Not Girl

I am the Forget Not Girl
I forget not
And forget never

I remember histories
Long past their memory
Some of whom’s only echo is now myth.

I am the one that holds your forgotten greats and uglies.
The ghouls and gold hidden in the darkest corner of your soul’s attic.
I hold them, so that you may walk numbly through your world.

I hold them and wait
Wait for the day you are ready to remember
Wait for the day you are ready to feel and face your truth

And should that day never come,
Then I will wait for the day you cease to be
And then I will begin the words of your legacy

For I am the Forget Not Girl
I forget not
And forget never
